Error message .. 32 bit access is not supported


PROBLEM - An error message stating "32 bit access is not supported" will be displayed when loading Windows.

Machines AFFECTED - All 6382/S, 6384/D and 6387/T's running Windows.

SOLUTION - A FLASH update (level 51 or higher) and a change to the "SYSTEM.INI" will fix the problem. The FLASH update can be obtained from the IBM BBS.

the "SYSTEM.INI" should contain the following statements in the [386ENH] section



32BITDISKACCESS=ON

DEVICE=*INT13

DEVICE=*WDCTRL
