Installing an Uninterruptible Power Supply

A 9-pin, serial-port cable is supplied with the server. You can use this cable to attach an American Power Conversion (APC) uninterruptible power supply (UPS).

After the UPS is installed, the software support must be loaded on the server. To do this:
  1.  Start the main ServerGuide CD.
  2.  Go to the Diskette Factory, then select POWERCHUTE  for NetFinity
  3.  Follow the instructions on the screen to install the  POWERCHUTE for NetFinity software.
