Symptom-to-FRU Index ServeRAID 3H Adapters
This index supports ServeRAID 3H Adapters and Controllers.

The Symptom-to-FRU index lists symptoms, errors, and the possible causes.
The purpose of this index is to allow the servicer to determine which FRUs may need to be replaced at the conclusion of troubleshooting procedures.

Note: Do not replace any FRU until you have followed the POST (ISPR) Error Procedures.
Only replace a ServeRAID 3H Adapter or controller if indicated to do so in the POST (ISPR) Error Procedures.

Problem FRU/Action
1XXX (Microcode Checksum Error) 1. PC ServeRAID 3H Adapter/Controller
2XXX thru 5XXX (Code DRAM Error) 1. Install download jumpers,
flash latest level BIOS
and firmware for adapter,
then remove jumpers.
2. PC ServeRAID 3H Adapter/Controller
6XXX (Cache DRAM Error) 1. Reseat Cache memory SIMM
2. Install download jumpers,
flash latest level BIOS
and firmware for adapter.
Remove jumpers.
3. ServeRAID 3H Adapter/Controller
7XXX thru 8XXX (Host/Local PCI Bus Interface Error) 1. Install download jumpers,
flash latest level of BIOS
and firmware for adapter.
Remove jumpers.
2. ServeRAID 3H Adapter/Controller
9XXX thru BXXX SCSI Bus error caused by defective drives, termination, etc.) 1. Refer to POST (ISPR) Error
