System Management Codes

The following page contains the system management codes.
These codes are displayed on the front panel.

Notes:

  1.  See 'System Error Log' for instruction for viewing the error log.
     Check for additional information on all system managements codes.
  2.  To reset the system management card, shutdown the system and remove the power for 10 seconds..

Code/Description    FRU/Action
00 1. See the system error log and follow the instruction for the error in the log.
   (POST failed)  
01 1. See the system error log and follow the instruction for the error in the log.
   (POST warning)  
08 1. See the system error log and follow the instruction for the error in the log.
   (Application failed)  
09 1. See the system error log and follow the instruction for the error in the log.
   (Application warning)  
10 1. Try to reboot the system.
   (Boot failed) 2. See system error log for other possible errors.
18 1. Restart the server.
   (Operating system failed)  
20 1. Clean out the error log.
   (Log full)  
80 1. Ensure that all four fans are working.
   (Over temperature) 2. Ensure the air intakes are clear.
  3. Ensure the room temperature is not to hot (See User's Handbook).
  4. Replace the following FRU for the temperature failure indicated in the error log:
      ° Ambient temperature, Front Panel
      ° Hard disk drive temperature, SCSI Backplane
      ° Processor temperature, Processor
85 1. See system error log to determine if there are any power supply or VRM errors.
   (Over voltage) 2. Power Control Card
  3. Processor Board
86 1. See system error log to determine if there are any power supply or VRM errors.
   (Low voltage) 2. Power Control Card

   (Intrusion) 2. Verify that there has been an intrusion into the system.
