Removing the Top Cover (Netfinity 7000-M10 - Type 8680)

Removing the Top Cover: Refer to the following illustration while you perform the steps in this procedure.

Before you begin: Read 'Safety Information'.

1.  Except if you are installing or removing a hot-swap option, run the shutdown  procedure for the operating system, turn off the server and all attached devices,  and disconnect all external cables and power cords (see 'Preparing to Install Options').
2.  Loosen the two thumbscrews -1- on the back edge of the top cover.
3.  Slide the top cover -2- slightly toward the rear of the server,  the cover will stop after about 25 mm (1 inch).
    Lift the cover off the server and set the cover aside.
