Using the SSA Configurator Functions

The functions of the SSA configurator are included in the SSA Configurator and Service Aids Utility that is provided on the SSA RAID Adapter diskette for your operating system.

The diagram summarizes functions of the SSA configurator.

You must use the SSA configurator to configure and attach SSA disk drives, otherwise, the operating system cannot use those disk drives. You do not need to run this configurator if you are configuring and attaching other types of device.
