1.  Power-off the server and all attached devices and  disconnect all external cables and power cords.
2.  Loosen the two screws -1- on the back edge of the  top cover.
3.  Slide the top cover -2- slightly toward the rear of the  server, the cover will stop after about 25 cm (1 in.).  Lift the cover off the server and set the cover aside.

     For proper cooling and airflow, replace the top  cover before powering on the server. Operating  the server for extended periods of time (over 30  minutes) with the top cover removed might damage server components.
