S/390 POST



S/390 POST (Type 8641)

When you power-on or re-boot the computer, the computer runs the following two power-on self tests (POST's).

NOTE: These tests are run consecutively w/o intervention.

 BIOS Code                 Checks the memory, system board,
 (resides on the system    direct access storage device (DASD)
 board)                    configurations, etc. If you receive
                           a POST error from the BIOS code,
                           refer to the 'Symptom-to-FRU Index'
                           in this manual.
 Licensed Internal Code    Checks the P/390 processor card and
 (LIC)                     attached memory card.
