How to Disable the Password

There are three passwords used at a typical customer site:
The Setup password, the HDD password, and the Power On password.

Power On password:
1. Power off the computer.
2. Remove the battery pack and AC Adapter.
3. Remove the backup battery (RTC) for 20 minutes or use a screwdriver to touch the backup battery (RTC) for 1 second.
4. Put back the backup battery (RTC).
5. Power on the computer and wait until POST ends.
6. Verifty that the password prompt does not appear.
Supervisor and HDD passwords: No overriding capability is provided, so it cannot be reset if forgotten.
The Supervisor password and HDD password (HDD-1 and HDD-2) are security features that are used to protect the system and the hard disk drive data from unauthorized access.

If the customer forgets the Supervisor password, the planar board must must be replaced. If the customer forgets the HDD password, the hard disk drive must be replaced.
