                      Complete FAX/Gateway
                 Quick Overview of Installation
                                
                                
This document is provided as "For your information" and as is.
Neither The Complete PC nor any of it's employees assume any
responsibility for consequences resulting from the use of the
following information nor can the Complete PC technical support
provide help with this document.  The user of said information
does so at his or her own risk.

Install the CFAX/Gateway board in the server. Refer to The
Complete FAX/Gateway User's Guide (included with the fax board)
and your computer installation manual for correct installation of
the board in your computer.

     NOTE: If you are setting up from scratch. it is best to do
     all hardware installation at the be ginning. but if your
     network was already setup and running without fax service.
     you will probably begin performing this procedure at Step 9.

Install the Novell Netware local area network, and set up the
server domain, server users. and passwords. Add any new users at
this time. Refer to the Novell Netware manual for complete
information.

In Novell, set up a user name EGATE for the CFAX/G server (the
CFAX/G server must be a user on your network system) using EGATE
as the password.  You must also specify a user name for the
CFAX/G Administrator.

Install MHS, and run the MHS program.  While MHS is running,
setup the host and add the user names for all MHS users
(including EGATE and the CFAX/G Administrator).  Refer to the MHS
Installation and Operations Guide for complete details.

Use the NovelI SYSCON utility to grant full MHS directory trustee
rights for the user name EGATE and the user name you defined for
the CFAX/G Administrator.

Install your E-mail program (if it is not already operational).
Refer to the manual provided with that software for correct
installation.

     NOTE:  Your E-mail software must be MHS-compatible.

Return to MHS.  Create a gateway called EASYGATE for CFAX/G.

Update the users' preferred application to be the E-mail program.

  Da Vinci Users Only:   See the Da Vinci installation manual
  and the ADREADME.DOC file in the ADMIN directory for any
  required application update details.
Install the CFAX software on the CFAX/G server.  Refer to The
Complete FAX/Gateway User's Guide for details.  Install the
CFAX/G software on the CFAX/G server. Refer to Chapter 3 in the
User's Guide for complete details.  Run CFAX/G's setup program
from the EASYGATE directory. Refer to Chapter 4 for complete
details.  Change CFAX/G System Configuration.  See the
CFAX/Gateway User's Guide for details.
