                      The Complete FAX 9624
                Information on 2.73/2.15 Upgrade

provide help with this document.  The user of said information
does so at his or her own risk.

The latest version of The Complete FAX9624 fixes problems found
in the 2.11/2.11 version of CFAX 9624.  The major differences to
the firmware are as follows:

Fall back during receive on noisy phone lines.  We adjusted the
firmware to be more tolerant when stepping down from the 9600
baud to lower baud rates when the board detects noise on the
phone line.

Improved compatibility with fax machines.  We found
incompatibilities with 5 fax machine models, which the new
firmware corrects.  Some of these fax machines could only receive
or send with CFAX 9624, some could not communicate at all.
Listed below are those models:

                     JTFax (older  version)
                              Cobra
                              AT&T
                          Ricoh  FAX 20
                           Harris   3M

We modified the way we signal the end of file to the receiving
machine.

The software changes affected the INSTALLF program, and included:

CPC scanner default I/O port matches the CFAX I/O port.
CPC scanner default interrupt to IRQ 3 (COM 2)
Modifications to the printers list
