CPC091292 The Complete Answering Machine Phone Book File Format This document is provided as "For your information" and as is. The user of said information does so at his or her own risk. The phone book file used by CAM has fixed length fields with no separators. It is stored as a set of three ASCII strings for each entry. Each entry is 70 bytes long. The three fields are: Bytes 0-19 Name 20 characters 20-39 Identifier 20 characters 40-69 Phone Number 30 digits Un-used positions must be filled with blanks (Hex 20). The sample file below has two entries. The format is simular to the display used by DEBUG. The first column is the hexadecimal offset within the file, beginning at zero. The next columns contain the hexadecimal values for each byte. The right hand column shows the ASCII character values for each byte. Note: All legal dialing characters and separators can be included in the phone number field.
