HOW TO USE PRODIGY WITH A BOCA 14.4 MODEM

    Requirements to run Prodigy:
       
       IBM (or true compatable) computer, DOS v.3.3 or later, OS/2 v.2.0,
       Windows v.3.1, GEO Works v.3.1, Desqview may also be used. Asynchronous 
       communications (serial port) adapter (not required if using an internal
       modem), RS-232 cable with standard 25-pin connector (connecting to the
       modem and optional 9-pin or 25-pin connected to the computer as per 
       serial port), at least 512K avaiable Conventional RAM, Hard Disk Drive
       with a least 720K available, CGA, EGA OR VGA display required and a 
       Voice-grade telephone connection for the modem.

    Before you install:
       
       Be sure you try the Boca 14.4bps Fax\Modem with the software included
       in this package.

    Hints on installing Prodigy:

       1. Install the first diskette of Prodigy, Then type install.
       2. Select the proper settings for your systems configuration.
       3. After installation is complete, type Prodigy then select setup, at
          this point you must enter in Prodigy's Phone numbers.

    Hints on configuring Prodigy:
       
       In most cases the Boca 14.4bps Fax/Modem will work with Prodigy 
       requiring little or no change to Prodigy's configuration, However 
       if you are experiencing difficulties connecting to Prodigy use the 
       following instuctions to modify Prodigy's configuration.

     1. Get into the Prodigy Sub-directory (cd\prodigy) on you Hard Drive.

     2. Type MODEMUTL C AT&FE0X4&C1&D2 then enter. (If file modemutl.exe is  
        not in your Prodigy Sub-Directory you will need to contact Prodigy 
        techical Support Dept.)

    Other Information:

       Keep in mind, Prodigy will not store this configuation change to a 
       file, You will need to load this configuration every time you run
       Prodigy by creating a batch file.

    Example:               (at a DOS prompt type)
                            COPY CON RUN.BAT
                            CD\PRODIGY
                            MODEMUTL C AT&FE0X4&C1&D2
                            PRODIGY
                           (hit CTRL-Z then enter)
