DOSLFN DOSLFN is a program originally by Henrik Haftmann to provide the long filename (LFN) API in plain DOS (without Windows). DOSLFN 0.40a (297k, includes TASM/TP source; 386 required). This version requires SHSUCDX for CD-ROM support. Difference from 0.40 (10k). DOSLFN 0.34a (136k, above also required). This version doesn't require SHSUCDX for CD-ROM support. Russian and Japanese messages. If you'd like to update the translations I will add them to the program. FreeDOS has a problem with extended DPBs, which causes problems with XMSDSK (DOSLFN thinks the RAMdisk is FAT32). It also does not support the Set Extended Error function, which causes problems with Volkov Commander (disk error on blank drives). Here is a FreeDOS patch and kernel (build 2034, NASM 0.98.38, Borland C++ 3.1, TLINK 7.01, 386) to fix them. Jason Hood. 1 March, 2005.
