Working with a Product View Result (PVR)

Working with a Product View Result (PVR)

This task describes the methodology for working with a Product View Result.

1.    A PVR is created in ENOVIA V5 VPM to store applicative data in a structure exposed product (or assembly).  All necessary related documents such as CATDrawing and CATAnalysis documents are also created.

2.   The PVR and all related documents to be modified by the supplier are extracted using the usual Reconciliator methodology.

3.    The supplier makes all necessary modifications (editing the PVR and all related documents). The PVR must be saved as a CATProduct in the supplier location.

4.    The supplier sends the PVR and all related documents (some of the document could be new ones) back to the OEM.

5.    The OEM reconciles the whole set of documents in once reconciliation transaction (the PVR CATProduct must be reconciled in publication exposed mode).  PVR documents are displayed with the following icon in the reconciliator .

6.    The changes are saved to ENOVIA V5 VPM.

7.    PVR synchronization (see the VPM Navigator User Guide) must be run to update any product structure changes inside the PVR.
