Reconciling an Assembly Drawing (Overwrite or Reload Mode)

  1. Open the file-based Drawing and the assembly.

    • First load the assembly structure.
    • Then load the CATDrawing.
    • Make sure that no update is required.
  2. Use the Edit->Links->Replace command to replace the links of the product in the CATIA session: The links between the drawing and the products are solved.

  3. Reconcile the Product and the Drawing: The Drawing is now not up to date.

  4. In the Product window, from the File menu, access the Save command to save the Product in VPM.

  5. Use the Edit->Links window to replace the links to ensure the rerouting of the reloaded references. Each time an "Edit->Links->Replace" operation is performed on a VPM assembly structure, the PSN window of this structure must be active.

  6. Update the Drawing.

  7. Save the Drawing and the Product in VPM.

  8. Close CATIA. (If you need to make sure that everything ran fine, close CATIA, relaunch it, and reload the assembly structure and the assembly drawing in a new session to validate the export.)
