About Parallel or Peripheral Axis Machines within a Simulation

When creating a machining simulation, users cannot get a rational result unless they can lock one axis on a parallel or peripheral axis machine.  Otherwise, there are potentially infinite solutions to moving the machine in a particular direction.

In the case of the parallel axis machine shown below, two axes, labeled Axis Z and Axis W move in parallel.

The Machine Instruction activity enables you to lock either the W or Z axis and to specify whether the other one remains free.
