Translating a Curve

This task shows you how to translate a curve along planes or axes.

Open the ModifyCurve3.CATPart document.

  1. Click Modification .

  2. Select the curve.

  3. Click Transformations .

  4. Click Translation .

  5. Click the curve to position the manipulators depending on the mouse cursor position.

    You are able to perform translations along three directions or three planes (defined by the directions).

  6. Move the mouse cursor to highlight the desired axis or plane.

  7. Hold down the left-mouse button and drag to translate the curve.

  8. Release the left-mouse button when you are satisfied with the new position of the curve.
