Creating Equipment Connectors

This task shows you how to create the connectors associated with the equipment you have just defined. The logical connection between the two items of equipment will be made at connector level.

  1. Select Antenna1 in the tree view.

  2. Click the Sub Components button in the Functional Components toolbar.
    The BOM view is displayed to the right of the tree view.

  3. Select the Functional Connector type in the list.

  4. Click the cell in the Name column and enter P7.

  5. Enter an Id Number for the connector, for example 1.

  6. Click OK to validate the entry.

    Connector P7 is created and identified in the tree view.

  7. Select Control unit1 in the tree view.

  8. Click the Connectors icon in the Functional Components toolbar.

  9. Click the cell in the Name column and enter P6.

  10. Enter an Id Number for the connector, for example 1.

  11. Click OK to validate the entry.

    Connector P6 is created and identified in the tree view.
