This task concerns only the dimension constraints of the sketcher and shows you how to edit the tolerance values of dimensional constraints. |
|
In the Sketcher, tolerances are only displayed but are are not taken into account when solving dimension values. Tolerance values displayed in the Sketcher can be managed by 3d Functional Tolerancing and Annotations product, which is dedicated to tolerance management. |
|
Create a sketch with dimensions. |

|
Tolerance can also be added using the contextual menu. Right-click
the Current value field to display the contextual menu and select
Add tolerance. Tolerance dialog box will be
displayed. Enter the Maximum and Minimum tolerance values. |
|
Modifying a toleranceLike when adding a tolerance, there are two ways of modifying a tolerance: from inside the multi-edit dialog box, and from outside. It works exactly the same way as above, except that when you select a constraint for which a tolerance exists, it modifies the existing tolerance instead of creating a new one. To get access to the outside
tolerance edit dialog, right-click on the current value editing field
and choose Tolerance > Edit. Deleting a toleranceTo suppress an existing tolerance,
you must right-click on the current value editing field and choose
Tolerance > Suppress. Restoring a toleranceIn the Edit Multi-Constraint dialog box, like for initial values, you can restore the tolerances. This applies to the selected constraint. Basically, it restores the tolerance to its initial state, when the multi-edit command was launched. You can do that by pushing the
Restore Initial Tolerances button. Multi-selectionMulti-selection is also possible.
The action is performed for all the selected constraints. |
