Displaying Information on the Fly

This task shows you how to display information on the fly on Composites elements.
Available in Composites Engineering Design (CPE) and Composites Design for Manufacturing (CPM).

To display the information of Composites elements in the 3D Viewer, make sure that they are pickable (Properties > Graphic menu of the element). This applies especially to the stacking and the plies, that are not pickable by default.

Open any CATPart containing a Composites design.

  1. Click On the Fly Information .

  2. Place the cursor over an element in the specification tree or in the 3D Viewer.
    Information on that element are displayed, e.g.:

    Note that the draping direction is displayed as a red arrow.
