This method describes how to delete existing relations in the process hierarchy (including
fastenings) to products and resources. In a complex process hierarchy, that may contain 100 or 1000
processes (activities), this method allows to delete all existing relations in one go, without having to select
the relations individually. This method offers three basic procedures:

Schematic representation of the functionThe following schematic representation introduces the principle procedure for deletion of existing relations from the process hierarchy. |

Relations to resources and products in the process hierarchyInitial situation: All existing relations between process activities (Act..) and products (Prod...) and resources (Res...) are displayed. Deletion of all relations to productsThe figure schematically shows all remaining relations between process activities and resources (Res...) after performance of the procedure - Delete all relations to products. |
|
Deletion of all relations to resourcesThe figure schematically shows all remaining links between process activities and products (Prod...) after performance of the procedure - Delete all relations to resources. Delete all relations to resources and productsThe figure illustrates schematically that all existing relations are deleted after the procedure - Delete all relations to resources and products - has been performed. |

Limitations for simulation applicationsBy means of relations, resources are linked to processes or process activities in the process hierarchy. Resources, such as robots or workers with assigned structures containing processes for simulation, need to be treated differently when relations are deleted. Observe the following limitations for deletion of relations:

Deleting relationsIn the process hierarchy, relations may exist between process activities, resources and products. The following description outlines the procedure for call up of the DPM dialog, selection of an option and deletion of existing relations. To delete relations, select a process or process activity in the process hierarchy.

This message will be displayed only if no relations exist for the selected process activity:
