This task explains how to set up the IBM DB2 Universal Database to be used with ENOVIA V5 VPM. | |
The IBM DB2 Universal Database must already have been installed and configured. | |
After choosing which database you are using, and clicking the Next
button in the previous step, the
ENOVIA V5 VPM Dictionary Owner
dialog box
appears:
This dialog box lets you specify the user name and password that will be associated to the ENOVIA Dictionary Owner. The ENOVIA V5 VPM Dictionary Owner:

1. Enter the user name of the ENOVIA V5 VPM Dictionary Owner. | |
2. Click the Next button to move to the next step. The DB2 Instance dialog box appears:

3. Click on the selection button to select the DB2 instance.
Note: All available DB2 instances, remote as well as local, will appear in the selection list. The DB2 instance home directory is indicated as information only; you cannot modify this field. |

4. Click the Next button to move to the next step.
The Database Identification dialog box appears:

5. Click on the selection button to choose the database alias
name for the chosen DB2 instance.
Note: If the database directory of the chosen database alias is LOCAL, then the database directory field will contain its path. If the database directory of the chosen database alias is REMOTE, then the database directory field will be blank. |

6. Click the Next button to move to the next step. You now continue to another part of the installation common to all databases. |
