Configuring Hang Detection and Response

The "smitty shpriocfg" command configures how AIX 5 responds to system hangs. A hang is where the system becomes unresponsive, most often due to run away applications. The possible responses include

• Bring up a high priority console on a RS-232 terminal.
• Run a script
• Reboot the system.
