DLPAR Utilities

DLPAR (Dynamic Logical Partitioning) provides the ability to add/remove processing capacity to an AIX 5.2 LPAR without disrupting applications. Resources that can be added/removed include processors, memory, and adapters.

Resource changes can be made manually or automatically. Automatic changes can be initiated by system load or time of day. The following URL contains sample scripts for implementing automatic changes.
