FYI 

The 4039 will not be supported by AIX until 4.1 
But the colon files sent by Lexmark have the old invalid attribute
-H flag problem 
You will probably be seeing a few of these as this printer became available
about 3 weeks ago. 
The Tech lib article is not quite correct for a 4039 and the 0782-006 error 
msg (date 8-24-92)
It appears you only have to add 
:022:_H:: 
which worked for my customer
