If you currently use a CDROM Library disc to access InfoExplorer then you need not use this package. :p.Customers who purchased a CDROM (registered under 5756-030, feature 8010) will receive a new CDROM disc for the Hypertext Information Base Library (form number SC23-2163-03) used by InfoExplorer. This disc will be distributed automatically to all customers of record. The disc is not available through corrective service channels. :h5.Verify The Tape Block Size :p.If you are using an 8mm tape cartridge, you should verify the 8mm tape drive is using a block size of 512 bytes during the installing and updating process. Use the "smit chgtpe" command to verify/change the tape block size. :h3.PREREQUISITES AND PRECONDITIONS :ul compact. :li.Each InfoExplorer database requires you to already have a previous version installed. :eul. :h3.CHANGES TO USER CONFIGURABLE FILES :p.These reinstall images do not modify or replace any user configurable files. .pa :h3.PROCEDURES :p.NOTE: Login as the root user. :p.NOTE: Tape block size must be 512 bytes. :ul compact. :li.Insert the tape labelled volume 1. :li.Execute "smit instupdt_install" :li.List (F4) and select the DEVICE name. :li.Position the cursor on the "OPTION name" entry field, press List (F4) and Select (F7) the install images you wish to replace.
