Run the following command: odmget -q"uniquetype=pty/pty/pty and attribute=num" PdAt > /tmp/pty.out 2. Edit /tmp/pty.out ("vi /tmp/pty.out") and change the values field so that it reads values="0-128,1" 3. Run the following command: odmchange -o PdAt -q"uniquetype=pty/pty/pty and attribute=num" /tmp/pty.out 4. Run "smit pty" and change the number of ptys to 128. Changing the Number of BSD PTYs 1 11/29/94 HOW TO CHANGE THE NUMBER OF BSD PTYS TO 64 1. Reboot with the key in Service position.* 2. Select Service Aid. 3. Select Service Hints. 4. At the colon prompt (":") enter "!sh". 5. Run "smit pty" and change the number of PTYs to 64. 6. Reboot with the key in Normal position. * On systems at 3.2.4 and above, you must boot from bosboot diskettes to access the service menus. For information on bosboot diskettes, refer to InfoExplorer or order fax #2462 from 1-800-IBM-4FAX (415-855-4FAX outside the U.S., from a fax machine phone).
