| WHAT IS OASIS
 
|      Software problem? Service question? Don't know where to
|      start?  With the OASIS service environment installed on your
|      AIX desktop, help is now an ICON away.
 
|      OASIS (Online AIX Service Information Station) is an AIX
|      desktop Information service environment.  OASIS:
 
       o   Provides an AIX desktop service and support facility
 
       o   Brings together existing tools and information under a
           common environment
 
       o   Provides a desktop Self-Service entry into AIX & RISC
           Full-Service support
 
       o   Can be updated and maintained via E-Mail or FTP
 
  OASIS IS FREE!
 
       There is no charge for the OASIS package.  Content consists
       of existing 'free' service tools and information.
 
       In addition OASIS is on-site and on the AIX desktop 24x7x365
 
  OASIS FEATURES
 
       o   Uses industry standard HTML and WEB browser technology
 
       o   Search remote service databases via e-mail
 
           -   Queries sent via e-mail and returned via e-mail in
               html format
 
           -   Query results displayed within the PitStop environ-
               ment
 
       o   Ability to run local service tools from within environ-
           ment
 
           -   Provides interface to local 'snap', error logs, etc

           -   Organizes and indexes local "readme" files
 
       o   Direct links to key IBM internet sites provides a
           fastpath to registered AIX services
 
| HOW CAN I GET OASIS
 
       To testdrive OASIS point your url to:
 
          http://service.boulder.ibm.com/www/support/aix/pitstop/index.html
 
       This site provides an OASIS demo as well as download access.
 
       Steps for anonymous FTP access:
 
       1.  ftp service.boulder.ibm.com
 
       2.  cd aix/tools/pitstop
 
       3.  bin
 
       4.  get pitstop_install.tar.Z
 
       5.  quit
 
           Move the package to the directory in which you wish to
           install OASIS.
 
       6.  uncompress pitstop_install.tar.Z
 
       7.  For further instructions view the README using any
