The problems listed may have existed prior to AIX 3.2.5. This document will be updated as new information becomes avail- able. GENERAL User-configurable files PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The following user-configurable files may be overwritten during installation of the 3.2.5 Update. /etc/sendmail.cf /etc/xlc.cfg /usr/lib/X11/xdm/* /usr/lib/X11/app-defaults/* /usr/lib/X11/system.mwmrc /usr/lib/X11/system.twmrc /usr/lpp/X11/defaults/* CIRCUMVENTION: Back up copies of those files which you have modified and merge your changes after installation. /USR CLIENT INSTALLATION If you are installing a /usr client on AIX 3.2.5, you MUST use the procedure described in document #2577 from 1-800-IBM-4FAX. (Outside the U.S., you can order the fax by calling 415-855-4FAX from a fax machine phone.) Known Problems After 3.2.5 Service Update 1 12/02/94 ADDITIONAL FIXES/ENHANCEMENTS The following fixes are present on your media but may not be automatically installed. Installation instructions are in your installation manual in the chapter on installing service updates. U423532 This PTF adds support for additional GT4 graphics adapters. U423983 This PTF resolves the following problem: o GXT150 adapter hangs causing system halt with LED 180 or 185 when stippled primitives are rendered off screen. U423984 This PTF resolves the following problems: o System halts with LED 180 or 185 when installing or running PC/AT Simulator. This problem affects all models except 250, 58H, 590, and 990. o Assignment to an unallocated segment in DBX causes system to halt with LED 888. o DSI_PROC system crash in dispatch() with LED 888. o System halts with LED 180 or 185 under heavy load. This problem affects only the model 250. U424397 This PTF resolves the following problem: o Getty opens port with O_NDELAY. This can cause tsm errors and connection problems on ports with modems attached. U424398 This PTF resolves the following problem: o Integrated SCSI has parity checking turned off. This affects models 220, 230, and 250 only. U424400 This PTF resolves the following problem: o Adapters not identified in the ODM may not configure properly. The resulting symptom may be adapters not configured in the AVAILABLE state or a system hang during boot. Known Problems After 3.2.5 Service Update 2 12/02/94 U424402 This PTF resolves the following problem: o Performance degradation during sequential writes on 2000 MB drives. U424403 This PTF resolves the following problem: o snmpd reports an incorrect object ID. This can cause problems for Netview/6000.
